The thumbnail shows part of the "core memory" of ENIAC, the world's first computer. ENIAC stands for Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer. It weighed over thirty tons. Its 19,000 vacuum tubes, 1,500 relays, and hundreds of thousands of resistors, capacitors, and inductors consumed almost 200 kilowatts of electrical power, but it had less computing power than a desktop computer of the 1990's.
