Oak Mountain Classic Horse Show

On Saturday, April 14, 2007, the OMA Foundation hosted the Oak Mountain Classic Horse Show at the West Georgia Fair Grounds in Carrollton, Georgia. The show begain at 4:00 p.m. Over 200 riders and horses from Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia competed in 37 different classes.

Children competed in two classes, the lead-line class and the stick horse class. All children in the stick horse class will receive a blue ribbon, just like the winners!

ERB Testing

Beginning Monday morning and continuing through Friday students in 1st – 8th grade will begin ERB testing. Please make sure that your child receives plenty of rest each night and has a good breakfast each morning. We will provide light, nutritious snacks each day.

Key Club Carnival

The Key Club Annual Spring Carnival is scheduled for Friday, April 20 beginning 12:00. Campus Cuisine has been canceled for the day of the carnival as the Key Club will provide lunch. Lunch tickets are available for $5 and will include the choice of pizza, hamburger or hotdog, a drink, chips and a cookie. All lunch orders should be placed by Tuesday, April 17. Parents and siblings attending the carnival are invited to order lunch as well.

In order to make the day's event run smoothly for everyone, we will pre-sell tickets to lower school students for the games. If you choose to pre-buy your child(ren)'s tickets, the tickets will be placed in an envelope and given to your child (ren)'s teacher for distribution just before the carnival begins. The cost for preordered tickets will be 7 for $1; tickets purchased during the carnival will be 5 for $1. By pre-ordering your tickets, you will receive 2 tickets FREE. All order forms need to be turned in by Tuesday, April 17; additionalforms are available from the lower school receptionist.

Prom

“Casino Royale” is the theme for this year’s prom which is scheduled to be held on Friday, April 27 at Sunset Hills Country Club. The festivities will kick off with dinner at 6:30 followed by gaming at 8:00. The cost for this year’s prom is $145 per couple or $85 for an individual; the cost includes dinner.
