QUETZAL

The quetzal lives in the rainforest’s of the Western Hemisphere. For thousands of years the quetzal has held the title of the most beautiful bird in the south. Its tail can grow to be two feet long. During mating season its tail can grow to be three feet long. The quetzal is a big part of religions, and legends. It lays 3 to 8 eggs. It eats small rodents, insects, and lizards.
