The Douglas Fir is an evergreen tree.

SIZE : Normally 275 feet tall, that is bigger than most tall trees!

 RANGE :practically anywhere from the dry dessert to the wet swamps, like the Rockies to the Pacific NW.

INTERESTING FACTS: One interesting fact about Douglas firs their roots helps control erosion. They are also quick about establishing in wide variety of soil types. But the most interesting fact about Douglas firs is that when they are mature they are most used for timber in all of North America!
