Crested Guan

The crested guan is a bird that lives in the rainforest.  Crested Guans live in groups in the tree tops. They are about 89 cm tall. Crested guans make their nests twigs and lined with leaves.  They live in Mexico, south to Venezuela. They lay 2-3 eggs and eat fruit and seeds.

Male and female birds look alike, but female guans do most of the incubation.

During breeding season, Crested Guans perform a wing-drumming display. with

While in flight, the birds begin to beat their wings at twice the normal speed, producing a whirring sound that is maintained for several seconds.
