Chimpanzee

The chimpanzee lives in the rainforest and savannah of equatorial Africa.  They eat plants, ants, termites, and occasionally meat.  Chimps grow to 1 to 1.7 m tall.  Chimps reach sexual maturity at around 13 years old and the average life span is 53 years.

An adult chimp is 3-4 times stronger than a human. They can recognize themselves in a mirror and have the ability to learn sign language. They are one of the few mammals that manufacture and use ‘tools’[27 types of tools were recognized], such as leaves to clean the body, twigs to gather insects, and stones to crack hard seeds.
