Teaching and understanding the complexities of reading is an ongoing challenge. In addition to our curriculum training, I have received training in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction.

I hope to inspire and motivate children to become independent learners. It is my goal to prepare children with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to become lifelong learners. I strive to continually challenge students to always do their very best, and to also make learning interesting, engaging, and of course fun.

Family:
I have three daughters: Samantha who is 21 and presently works at Southern Therapy. Michelle is 17 and attended OMA through 7th grade and is now a senior at Central High School. Erica is 16 and is a junior at Oak Mountain Academy.
Hobbies and interests:
I enjoy reading, camping, and going to the beach.
