Welcome to OMA,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Oak Mountain Academy.  Since my arrival into the OMA family, I have experienced firsthand the qualities that make this such a wonderful community – a strong dedicated faculty, hard-working trustees, supportive parents, great students, and devoted alumni.  It is all of us, working together, who make this school such a very special place.

As a parent and an educator, I believe that there is no better atmosphere in which a child may grow than that of an independent school.  Oak Mountain Academy is that kind of school - one where children grow and excel – where they are nurtured and challenged –where opportunities are explored and dreams are encouraged.  We are committed to providing opportunities for learning, enrichment, leadership, extracurricular activities and personal growth, all within a safe and nurturing family environment.

If I were to sum up, in one sentence, what we do at Oak Mountain Academy, I would have to share a simple quote from one of the founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson:  “When one life is changed, the world is changed.”  We, parents and educators alike, have the obligation and the ability to make a difference, to change a life each and every day.  At OMA, we work to make a difference to our students individually, and, in turn, to the world as a whole.
