Directions to Oak Mountain Athletic Events

 

From Newnan

  • Take Highway 16 to Carrollton
  • Just inside the city limits is a traffic light at the corner of Highway 16 and Oak Mountain Road (on the right) and Stripling Chapel Road (on the left)
  • Turn right onto Oak Mountain Road
  • Go to first 4-way stop sign and turn right
  • Road will fork (¼ mile) but stay to your left
  • Oak Mountain is about ¼ mile on your left
  • Turn in the main entrance at the top of the hill.
  • The Alice and Roy Richards Commons Building (Administration and Upper School) is straight ahead, the Gym/Middle School/Science Lab is to the left, and the Lower School is to the right.

From Atlanta

  • Take I-20 west to Hwy 61: Exit 24 
  • Turn left onto Highway 61 and cross the bridge
  • Go approximately 15 miles to a MAJOR intersection right after Ryan's (on right) - this is the Carrollton Bypass
  • Turn left at this light
  • Take first left at Traffic Light onto Old Newnan Rd.
  • Go to first 4-way stop sign. Go straight
  • Road will fork (¼ mile) but stay to your left
  • Oak Mountain is about ¼ mile on your left
  • Turn in the main entrance at the top of the hill.
  • The Alice and Roy Richards Commons Building (Administration and Upper School) is straight ahead, the Gym/Middle School/Science Lab is to the left, and the Lower School is to the right.

From Macon

  • Take I-75 North to Exit 205 (Hwy 16 - Jackson / Griffin Exit)
    Turn left at the top of the exit. You will be on Highway 16
  • Stay on Highway 16 through Griffin, Newnan, Whitesburg and towards Carrollton
  • Just prior to coming into Carrollton, you will pass JEFF'S EXXON on your right
  • At the first traffic light past JEFF’S, turn right onto Oak Mountain Road
  • Go to first 4-way stop sign and turn right
  • Road will fork (¼ mile) but stay to your left
  • Oak Mountain is about ¼ mile on your left
  • Turn in the main entrance at the top of the hill.
  • The Alice and Roy Richards Commons Building (Administration and Upper School) is straight ahead, the Gym/Middle School/Science Lab is to the left, and the Lower School is to the right.

From LaGrange:

  • Take 27 North towards Carrollton
  • Turn right at light onto Stripling Chapel Road (Stripling Chapel Methodist Church is on right) (LOOK VERY CAREFULLY)
  • Continue on Stripling Chapel Road though 4-way stop to first traffic light at Highway 16 / Alternate 27
  • Go straight through intersection across Highway 16 / Alternate 27 - you are now on Oak Mountain Road
  • Go to first 4-way stop sign and turn right
  • Road will fork (¼ mile) but stay to your left
  • Oak Mountain is about ¼ mile on your left
  • Turn in the main entrance at the top of the hill.
  • The Alice and Roy Richards Commons Building (Administration and Upper School) is straight ahead, the Gym/Middle School/Science Lab is to the left, and the Lower School is to the right.
