OMA has been graduating students since 1968. Our graduates have been accepted into a wide array of major colleges and universities, often accompanied by scholarships, and have been highly successful in both college and professional endeavors.
Oak Mountain Academy is governed by a board of Trustees and administered by a Headmaster. All classes are taught by teachers who must meet the qualifications of the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
The school is located south of Carrollton, GA on Cross Plains Road on an 88-acre site. There are three buildings on campus: The Alice and Roy Richards Commons Building (Administration and Upper School), Gymnasium/Middle School/Science Laboratory and the Lower School Building.
Oak Mountain Academy is a member of the Georgia Independent School Association.

Oak Mountain Academy is accredited by SAIS (the Southern Association of Independent Schools), SACS-CASI (the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement), and accredited with quality by the Georgia Accrediting Commission.
